Why E-Commerce is Important For Small Business

    By didiel | July 2, 2009

For the sake of the economy and the individuals involved, huge numbers of new small businesses are forming in hopes of making a positive impact to the community. In order to make that positive impact, you need to make sure that your small business is up-to-date and following the latest trends. When it comes to small businesses, current trends refer directly to e-commerce. Here are four major reasons why implementing e-commerce should be one of the top priorities in building any small business.

Internet is so Mainstream these Days

Just about every household in the US has at least a computer, laptop, or mobile device that can access the Internet and people worldwide are getting into it as well. With the introduction to social networking sites and online shopping, the Internet became a part of their daily lives conveniently getting work done. Read the rest of this entry »

Traffic Building Without Busting the Budget

    By didiel | June 24, 2009

You have built a fabulous website, now you need traffic. You can buy traffic, but will that help you? Not likely. One thousand visitors that are not interested in what you have to say will not ensure sales, or repeat visitors. You might get lucky, one or two people will be interested and spread the word around the web. Personal endorsement is always the best advertising.

If they mention you in their blog, you’re on the right track. If they include a link to your website, even better.

    Keep Your Content Interesting

No matter what the subject, your content has to be interesting, original and fresh. Keep your focus on people, on your audience. It is important to make them feel valued. They must leave with a sense that they did not waste their time. That they actually learned something or came away with something of value. Read the rest of this entry »

Product Creation - How to Create Your Own Online Products

    By didiel | June 23, 2009

So you want to get your own product on-line? Having your own product has its advantages, especially if it is a good quality product. Even if you are just giving it away for free (list building)! Over deliver and your product could go viral as well as having a happy subscriber.

To produce a product, first of all you need to find out, is it desirable? No good having this singing and dancing product if nobody is remotely interested or it is yesterday’s news. A good starting point is going to forums in your market and see what people are asking about.

A popular choice is to create products that are downloadable as we live in a world where people want things now. Plus you get 100% profit on all your sales! Here are two great suggestions to get your teeth stuck into.

E-book or report - You can create an e-book that is in the region of 100 pages on something you know about. If you plan on giving something away of value, a 15-20 page report is good. To do this all you do is write your topic in MS Word and converting it to a PDF so it becomes downloadable. Read the rest of this entry »

Network Marketing Help - Follow This 7 Step Formula to Create Killer Marketing Videos

    By didiel | June 13, 2009

If you’re not using video as a marketing tool then you’re missing out on one of the most effective ways to communicate your message.

Keep your videos simple and preferably no longer than three minutes in length. This is not an opportunity for you to show how well you can use every feature of your video software. You want to communicate a message simply and clearly and you want your audience to take specific action at the end of it.

Follow the simple 7 step formula below no matter what your video is about and you will create effective messages every time. You don’t have to use my exact words,in fact make sure that what you say comes very naturally to you.

Step 1: Introduce yourself and confirm what the video is about:

“Hello my name’s –” (Plug your name in)   “By having a look at this video I’m assuming you want to know–”  (Plug in what your video is about.)

If for instance you were making a video about yourself you might finish the line with, “–a little more about me.” Try to make your video benefit-rich wherever you can. A better line would have been, “–a little more about me and how I can help you achieve your goals.” In other words what is the benefit to the person viewing the video?

Step 2: Give them an idea of what what they will be able to do afterwards:

“After this you will be able to–” If appropriate you could by example, end with, “–make a decision about what to do next.”

Step 3: Tell them what you’re going to tell them:”Over the next few minutes I’m going to give you some valuable information about–”  (Plug in the content you are going to share with them.) One or two things is preferable and no more than three. Read the rest of this entry »

5 Reasons to Use CSS Templates Over Content Management Systems

    By didiel | May 31, 2009

As technology advances, more and more Content Management Systems (CMS) were being developed to help Web Developers to create websites. Some of the more popular CMS include WordPress, Joomla and Drupal. However, not all CMS were developed for the users in the first place, some are too difficult to use and some just could not get the buy in from the consumers. This article discusses some of the advantages that a Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) has over conventional CMS.

The first advantage for using a CSS template is fast loading time. Most CMS has terrible loading time as they have a great deal of functions and reference to create for every click from the users. Using CSS for website creation will reduce most of the unnecessary loading time for a web page. A pure CSS template can be loaded at least twice the time shorter than a conventional full-fledged CMS. WordPress - How to Change Your Image Header

    By didiel | May 30, 2009

One of the things that I love the most about WordPress is that it’s very flexible. One of the things that I love the least is that some things are a lot easier to change/ modify than others. One of the harder things to change is the header image.

The header image, is the image that shows up behind the title in your blog. It’s the topmost image on the blog, and is often what most people come to identify as the brand for your site.

Depending on the theme that you were using, changing the header image could be a simple matter of filling in a blank, or it could be something that required heavy coding in the CSS file of the theme in order to modify it. Read the rest of this entry »

Designing and creating a good squeeze page (a.k.a landing page) is essential for internet marketers who want to make real money. But how do you make a good squeeze page? Here’s how:

    1. Make your purpose crystal clear
A good squeeze page focused on ONE purpose - getting the visitor to buy or subscribe to a newsletter. All other features of a good squeeze page are geared to increase the likelihood of the visitor to convert.

    2. Use one page for one set of related keywords.
When you’re targeting multiple types of audience you *must* make different squeeze page for each one. People who visit your page come with various intentions and mindsets. By customizing and fine tuning your squeeze page for each type you can state the exact benefits of you offer for each type.

What the Squeeze Page Tutorials Won’t Tell You

    By didiel | May 21, 2009

You can read squeeze page tutorials all night and day.  They’ll give you the nuts and bolts of building a good lead generation and email address capturing system.  If you dig into the literature enough, you’ll uncover some advanced techniques that will improve performance.  However, there are a few things those tutorials won’t tell you.

First, they won’t remind you that the whole system is contingent upon getting the right traffic in the first place.  Before you launch your squeeze page in hopes of building a profitable and responsive list, you need to take a long look at your traffic generation approach.  You want to be certain that you’ve created a squeeze page that’s accurately tailored to its likely audience.  You can have a textbook perfect squeeze page, but it won’t get the job done if the traffic isn’t right. From Squeeze Page to List Building

    By didiel | May 20, 2009

One of the common ways an internet business is valued is by the size of their Auto-Responder list. so not only you make more money, you`re actually building an asset that can be sold for top dollar.

If the money is in the list, the secret to this list is in the squeeze page ( also known as the lead capture page, or the email capture page). It`s a simple web page with the ONLY one and very IMPORTANT goal is to persuade your visitors to leave their name and email address in exchange for what you offering ( must be a high value content that can benefit the visitors). What is a Squeeze Page Or Capture Page?

    By didiel | May 19, 2009

A squeeze page also called a capture page is a specialized web page used to collect information on potential customers, also referred to as a lead. The information that is gathered is usually the person’s name, their email address and can also include their phone number and address. Using the information gathered from a squeeze page, companies will often attempt to market to the leads and encourage them to purchase their products or services.

There are several factors that help increase the overall effectiveness of a squeeze page. For example, the more incentives such as free give-a- ways that are placed on the page, the more likely that the potential customer or business lead is to complete the information form. The squeeze page itself should never be used to market directly to the consumer. Instead, the page should be used to get more information from the consumer and then follow up via direct mailing, email, or another contact method to encourage them to purchase your product.

While many companies use squeeze pages that are extremely lengthy, the highest converting squeeze page are often short and to the point. Many individuals do not enjoy reading a long sales letter in order to give you their contact information. Instead, those potential leads will just click away from your website. Once those leads have clicked away, you may have lost the ability to get their contact information forever. Read the rest of this entry »

Using a Squeeze Page to Build Your List

    By didiel | May 18, 2009

A squeeze page is a web page with no links to any other pages. A potential subscriber comes to your page (let’s call them a suspect for now) and all they can see is your offer followed by an opt-in box where they can enter their name and email address and a subscribe button. The idea is to squeeze your suspect into becoming a prospect. The way you do this is to provide just enough (but no more) information about your product/service/e-zine to make them want more. In order for them to receive what they want they have to enter their name and email into your opt-in box.

Once they press the submit button you have a choice of either immediately re-directing them to your sales letter page, or you can ask them to confirm their opt-in by checking their email. More about this second technique later, but for now the best thing is to simply re-direct them to your sales page. Read the rest of this entry »
